About The Position

Seeking a Radiologic Technologist (CT) responsible for performing high-quality radiographic and CT examinations under the direction of departmental radiologists. The technologist ensures patient safety, accurate imaging, and adherence to departmental protocols and radiation safety standards.

Requirements

• Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) in Radiologic Technology or equivalent.
• New York State license/registration.
• Minimum one (1) year of CT or MRI experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
• Successful completion of pre-employment health clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic and CT examinations as ordered by referring physicians and radiologists.
• Greet patients and explain imaging procedures to ensure comfort and understanding.
• Properly position patients and select appropriate exposure factors to obtain quality diagnostic images.
• Practice radiation safety and protection to minimize patient exposure.
• Operate imaging equipment efficiently and report malfunctions to the immediate supervisor.
• Process images and document procedures accurately within the Radiology Information System (RIS) for billing and compliance purposes.
• Follow department policies, procedures, and imaging protocols as defined in the Policy and Procedure Manual.
• Maintain a strong knowledge base of CT and radiologic imaging techniques.
