About The Position
ATTENTION RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLOGISTS WITH SPECIALTY CERTIFICATION!! The Danbury Hospital is growing its team of Rad Techs and seeks a PRN Rad Tech3 to join its team. To become a PRN employee of Nuvance/Northwell - Danbury Hospital - Shifts are Evening/Nights 12 hours Variable shifts, 3pm- -12:30am, Two shift per month minimum with one shift a weekend. This is a union role and PRN pay is based on full years experience ranging from $43.46 - 54.33 /hour plus shift differentials. Summary: Takes diagnostic radiographs of patients while maintaining patient safety.
Requirements
- HS GRAD/EQUIVALENT
- Continuing education, 24 CEU credits for license.
- Minimum Experience: one year
Nice To Haves
- Experience with patient care in a radiology setting.
- Specialty certification.
Responsibilities
- Introduce and greet patient.
- Responsible for the care and safety of patients.
- Instructs and prepares patient for xray & or fluoroscopic exam.
- Determines most suitable anatomical posture and positions, & shields patient accordingly.
- Produce high quality xrays.
- Assists with training students and ancillary personnel.
- Interacts professionally with patients and family.
- Completes all work before clocking out and leaving.
- Attends annual hospital review (compliance) and departmental inservices meetings as scheduled.
- Practices medicine and surgical aseptic procedures.
- Is proficient in either mammography, operating room or another specialty modality.
- Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
