The purpose of this position is to perform positioning of the C-Arm and patient and technical skills using the C-arm to capture images of the requested portions of the human body to help guide the physician in the performance of the interventional pain procedure. The Radiologic Technologist will position patients on the OR table, set up and adjust equipment to obtain optimum views, determine positioning needs, and make necessary exposures while adhering to established standards. The role also involves explaining procedures to patients, assisting nurses, participating in safety protocols, maintaining equipment, documenting usage, and following aseptic techniques. The technologist will also take on the role of Radiation Safety Officer and may perform additional duties in intra-operative, pre/post-operative, or as a preceptor for new staff.
