About The Position

The Radiologic Technician will perform diagnostic imaging procedures in accordance with established protocols and safety standards. This role involves preparing patients, operating radiology equipment, capturing high-quality images, and ensuring proper documentation in the electronic health record. The technician will work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to support accurate diagnosis and patient care.

Requirements

• Active Radiologic Technician certification/licensure in New York State
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in diagnostic radiology preferred
• Knowledge of imaging protocols and safety procedures
• Ability to operate radiology equipment with proficiency
• Strong communication and patient care skills

Responsibilities

• Perform X-ray and other imaging procedures as ordered by physicians
• Prepare and position patients appropriately for imaging
• Operate radiology equipment safely and maintain radiation safety standards
• Ensure high-quality diagnostic images while minimizing patient exposure
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in electronic systems
• Assist in patient care and respond to patient needs during imaging procedures
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to facilitate efficient workflow
