The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for providing a comprehensive range of diagnostic imaging examinations like X-rays and computed tomography. The Radiologic Technologist provides X-Ray and CT services.

  • Perform X-Ray and CT studies ordered by staff on patients.
  • Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
  • Prepares patients for radiological procedure by positioning patient.
  • Adjusts immobilization devices, moves equipment into specified positions and modifies equipment controls to set exposure factors.
  • Providing explanations of treatment and answering questions for patients.
  • Minimizes radiation to patient and staff by practicing radiation protection techniques, using beam restrictive devices, patient shielding and knowledge of exposure factors.
  • Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
  • Follows drug protocols in case of reactions to drugs, such as contrast media, administering first aid and using the emergency cart.
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Actively participates in Mass Casualty exercises and events.
  • Completes required organizational compliance education, including assigned requirements that are client-specified, for Joint Commission Healthcare Staffing Services certification or other regulatory bodies.
  • Minimum of 3 years recent experience as a Radiology Technician is required including 6 months within the last year.
  • Must have an unrestricted license or be American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certified.
  • Mush have ARRT CT certification/registration.
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
  • Must have completed an approved Radiology Technician program leading to a Diploma, Certificate or associate degree. U.S. Military Radiology Technician technical school training certification (4R0X1, 68P, HM-8451) may also fulfil this requirement.
  • Must meet pre-deployment physical requirements.
  • Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time.
  • May require bending, stooping and lifting to 25 lbs.
  • US Citizen or Permanent Resident Card is required.
  • Valid US Passport with at least 18 months before expiration date. Must maintain a current passport during your stay in Iraq.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance, specifically a MRPT.
  • Must be able to relocate to Iraq for the duration of the project.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English to effectively communicate.
  • Experience on a military site working as a government subcontractor or prime contractor is preferred.
  • Applicants with current clearances are preferred.
