Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent – required
• Associates Degree – preferred
• Bachelor’s Degree – preferred
• 2+ years experience in radiology or a new graduate of accredited radiologic technology program required
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) – required
• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS)

Responsibilities

• Responsible for performing radiographic imaging procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
• Positions, moves, and assists patients to ensure accurate imaging results.
• Performs clerical duties and provides basic patient care within the scope of practice and departmental standards.
• Adheres to compliance plans and regulations of local, state, and federal agencies.
• Cross-trains into advanced modalities as needed.
• Ability to follow basic radiation safety concepts of time, distance and shielding to keep exposure levels ALARA for patient and staff.
• Performs radiographic imaging procedures, ensuring high-quality images that meet department standards.
• Positions patients and equipment, selecting technical factors to produce radiographic images safely and in a timely manner.
• Performs imaging with correct patient demographic and examination information.
• Maintains accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) and PACS systems.
