Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must be a graduate of an accredited two-year program in radiologic technology.
• ARRT registration and NYS DOH Radiology license required; certified to inject contrast.
• Knowledge and working experience in Computerized Axid Tomography preferred.
• BLS required (American Heart Association). No online programs from any organization will be accepted.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of clinical and research procedures that will require independent judgment, with ingenuity and initiative.
• Produces and evaluates CT images for technical quality, properly identifies images and patients, and effectively uses judgment for protocols and procedures.
• Medication oversight which includes documentation of delivery of contrast media.
• Adheres to hospital and departmental policies and procedures and JCAHO/regulatory agency requirements.
