About The Position

Description PRN Days Minimum of 24 hours every 4 weeks. One 12-hr weekend required every 4 weeks General Summary Performs routine and specialized diagnostic and technical radiographic procedures at an intermediate skill level. Responsibilities Duties and Responsibilities Performs radiographic examinations; obtains patient history, explains routine procedures and addresses patient concerns. Able to perform more complex operating room procedures as well as fluoroscopic and overhead procedures and more complex portable exams if applicable to the location of outpatient center. Schedules cases to coordinate with other patient examinations. Properly processes images using digital technology., Able to resolve exceptions in PACs and EHR systems and has the ability to cancel unnecessary orders upon request of providers(site specific) Positions and transfers patients safely and comfortably and explains basic procedure. Immobilizes patients as necessary and practices radiation safety procedures. Evaluates recorded images for technical quality. , consistently maintains a repeat rate under 5%. Participates in and collaborates with other departments on projects to improve care and efficiency as needed. Demonstrates leadership skills with capability of taking on a charge role if needed. Participates in and collaborates with other departments on projects to improve care and efficiency as needed; participates in at least 1 project including but not limited to: equipment QA (monthly, quarterly testing), creating standards of work, engagement committee. Becomes proficient in optional cross-trained skills(site specific) of EKGs and/or phlebotomy. Required for All Jobs: Performs other related duties as identified. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2 years Relevant experience.
  • Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required
  • Registered Technologist-Cardiac Interventional Radiology - ARRT Upon Hire Required
  • Registered Technologist-Cardiovascular Interventional Radiology - ARRT Upon Hire Required
  • Registered Technologist-Radiation Therapy - ARRT Upon Hire Required
  • Registered Technologist-Radiography - ARRT Upon Hire Required
  • Registered Technologist-Vascular Interventional Radiology - ARRT Upon Hire Required
  • Accredited program in radiologic technology. Upon Hire Required
