About The Position
Radiology Regional is one of the largest physician-driven diagnostic imaging providers, with 13 imaging centers, in Southwest Florida. We are seeking a basic machine operator with a passion to care for others in the communities we serve. For over 50 years we have earned trust and confidence because of their patient care experience.
Requirements
- Must be a graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program or equivalent hospital-based program.
- Possess current ARRT and state of Florida license to practice medical radiography.
- CPR Basic Life Support certification is required.
- 1 year or more of radiography experience preferred in an outpatient setting.
Responsibilities
- Receives and follows directives and instructions from radiologists, diagnostic imaging center manager, and technical director to properly perform the position’s functions.
- Calculates and selects proper technical factors such as voltage, current, exposure time, focal distance, etc., based on information such as patient age, physical condition, and suspected pathology.
- Schedules patient examinations according to physician’s orders as directed.
- Explain proper preparation to patients prior to procedure.
- Develops mammography films and related dark room duties, in addition to understanding the CR system and equipment.
