Performs radiographic procedures as requested by physicians. Provides care for patients while obtaining diagnostic quality images for interpretation by a Radiologist. Qualifications EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent and graduation from accredited Radiologic Technology Program required. CERTIFICATION/LICENSES: ARRT and New Mexico State licenses required. SKILLS: Thorough knowledge of radiographic imaging equipment, anatomy and physiology, radiographic positioning, medical terminology and basic computer skills. EXPERIENCE: Minimum one year experience required which can be substituted with clinical education experience. NATURE OF SUPERVISION: -Responsible to: Manager, Radiology ENVIRONMENT: - Bloodborne pathogen C Exposure to various body fluids and ionizing radiation. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Prolonged, extensive or considerate standing and walking. Lifts, positions, pushes and or transfers patients and equipment in excess of 50 lbs.
