Requirements

  • Graduate from an approved school of Radiologic Technology
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certificate
  • Current, valid driver’s license
  • Medical Radiologic Technology (MRT) Certificate in Texas
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) Certification in Radiography R.T (R)

Responsibilities

  • Perform Diagnostic Radiography: Use state-of-the-art radiologic equipment to capture high-quality images of the body, aiding in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of medical conditions.
  • Patient Care & Comfort: Greet and prepare patients, explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring their comfort and safety before, during, and after exams.
  • Collaboration with Medical Staff: Work closely with radiologists and healthcare providers to ensure accurate images are obtained in a timely manner, supporting the treatment plan.
  • Maintain Equipment & Safety: Operate and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring it’s properly calibrated and in excellent working order. Adhere to strict radiation safety protocols to protect patients, yourself, and the team.
  • Ensure Quality & Accuracy: Review images for clarity and detail, ensuring they meet diagnostic standards. If needed, make adjustments to improve image quality and repeat scans as necessary.
  • Administrative Support: Accurately document patient information, procedures, and results, ensuring compliance with hospital protocols and confidentiality standards.
