Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • NM Radiography Technologist (RRT) License required.
  • ARRT R.T.(R) certification required at time of hire.
  • Must have one of the following qualified modalities: Ultra Sound MRI Mammo Nuc Med CT Vascular US Litho Bone Density Echo

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains established departmental policies, procedures, objectives, and quality assurance, creating documentation as required.
  • Follows JCAHO guidelines.
  • Performs various types of exams to produce radiographs, evaluating for technical quality, and preparing for interpretation.
  • Checks equipment, supplies, and accessories on a regular basis and reports shortages and failures to assure customer satisfaction and safety.
  • Maintains orderliness, cleanliness, and professionalism in all work areas.
  • Prepares, maintains the room, and transports patients if needed to the radiographic room for exams.
  • Participates in the Preceptor Program as designed for new hires and students.
  • Knows and applies team and organizational results-based competencies.
  • Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service, meetings, and workshops.
  • Executes supervision as required by the supervisor.
