About The Position

New England Baptist Surgery Center (NEBSC) is currently hiring for a per diem Radiographers. About us: New England Baptist Surgery Center is a state-of-the-art surgery center providing comprehensive orthopedic care for a range of ambulatory services, including total joint surgery and pain management procedures. We have 8 operating rooms and 25 pre-and post-operative bays. Enters instructions into computers, monitors and evaluates images for accuracy and completeness of order. Makes necessary adjustments when judged to be necessary. Evaluates radiographs for image quality and completeness. The Radiographer acts as a critical member of the patient care team, collaborates fully with the other care team members in assuring continuity of care for their patients. Pay Range: $28.00-$60.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Requirements

  • Vocational or Technical training in Medical Radiography required.
  • License MA RadTech-Radiography required.
  • Registration American Registry of Rad Tech required
  • Basic Life Support certification required.
  • Ability to correlate clinical data with patient’s medical and nursing care.
  • Ability to set priorities.
  • Ability to take direction from others and provide information that is clear, concise and promotes efficiency on the unit.
  • Ability to communicate well with Physicians, Patients, Co-workers, etc.
  • Ability to demonstrate flexibility with assignments and schedule.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree in medical Radiography preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Operate complex imaging equipment, such as X-ray, and c-arms.
  • Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process and positioning them correctly.
  • Ensure patient safety and comfort during imaging procedures.
  • Maintain and calibrate imaging equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Follow prescribed protocols to minimize radiation exposure to patients and personnel.
  • Assist healthcare professionals in interpreting imaging results.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation.
  • Adhere to all relevant health and safety regulations and procedures.
  • Perform quality control procedures to ensure high-quality imaging.
  • Stay updated with advancements in medical imaging technology and techniques.
  • Coordinate with other medical staff to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Other duties as assigned
