This role includes performing imaging procedures and operating appropriate equipment, processing imaging media, and troubleshooting and correcting routine problems. Radiographers also provide basic nursing care, perform departmental clerical duties, protect patient rights, and promote a safe environment. In addition, this position participates in performance improvement activities and assists with the orientation of new personnel while supervising students during clinical rotations. Performs imaging procedures, operating appropriate equipment. Processes imaging media, trouble shoots and corrects problems. Performs basic nursing care. Performs departmental clerical duties. Ensures patient s rights are protected. Participates in Performance Improvement. Assists with orientation of new personnel; supervises students during their clinical rotation. Promotes a safe environment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required, Associates Degree preferred.
  • NM Radiography Technologist (RRT) License or Temporary license required.
  • ARRT R.T.(R) certification preferred at time of hire. Employee will have a period of 1 year to obtain ARRT certification.
