About The Position

Turner Industries is seeking experienced Radiographers and Trainees for full-time position(s) in Lake Charles, LA. The Rope Access Technician is responsible for carrying out standard rope access operations to perform maintenance, repairs, and other industrial work tasks on industrial petrol/chemical equipment while on ropes. The technician must have the ability to perform work that is physically demanding, have good communication skills and the ability to assimilate a large amount of new information. Responsibilities may also include rescue operations, technical reports, and administrative tasks. This is a non-exempt role that reports to the Area Manager and involves developing procedures for the performance of a variety of duties and performing complex duties within established guidelines.

Requirements

• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must have a TWIC card.
• Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Radiographers must have Level II RT, PT, MT certifications; CR/DR training & experience is a plus.
• Trainees must have 40-hour radiation safety training; state card is a plus.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug test.
• Must be considered local to the job.

Responsibilities

• Carry out standard rope access operations for maintenance and repairs.
• Perform industrial work tasks on petrol/chemical equipment while on ropes.
• Conduct rescue operations as needed.
• Prepare technical reports and perform administrative tasks.
• Develop procedures for the performance of various duties.
