About the position
The Radiographer at RMC Urology is responsible for acquiring diagnostic scans of patients using various imaging modalities while ensuring optimal patient care. This full-time position involves working in a clinical setting, assisting physicians, and maintaining high standards of patient service and safety.
Responsibilities
- Acquire scans of patients for diagnostic purposes using applicable imaging modalities.
- Provide care to patients during scans to ensure comfort and safety.
- Perform clinical activities to assist the physician in a clinical setting.
- Maintain high standards of patient care throughout the scanning process.
- Assist with the discharge of patients after procedures.
- Order and maintain an orderly stock of supplies necessary for imaging procedures.
- Comply with standards set by JCAHO and other governing agencies.
Requirements
- Graduation from an AMA Approved Radiologic Technology School.
- Certification from ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists).
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification or training available upon hire.
- Experience in CT (Computed Tomography) is a plus.
