About The Position

About the Unit The Helen DeVos Diagnostic Radiology team is made up of 14 technologists, supporting our ER, Inpatient, Walk in, Fluoroscopic, and Surgical patients. This team provides expertise to West Michigan’s pediatric patients performing numerous exams not offered throughout the rest of the system at our specialty hospital. This team provides coverage 24/7/365 as a level 1 pediatric trauma. Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital Opening in downtown Grand Rapids in January 2011, Helen DeVos is a 14-floor building dedicated pediatric facility. The iconic blue building is a landmark of the “Medical Mile”. A 234-bed hospital seeing over 56,000 ER visits and 8,700 surgeries, families travel statewide for the specialty care that is a vital community resource. We fight for every child. Scope of Work Coordinates and performs routine diagnostic and fluoroscopic procedures, portable x-rays, trauma and surgery procedures according to established standards and practices. Receives and ensures the execution of physicians' orders. Participates actively in the satisfaction of patients and all customers. Assures equipment is present and accounted for at beginning and end of each shift.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent years of experience in related field
  • CRT-Radiographer (R) - ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologist Upon Hire required
  • AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire
