About The Position

The Radiographer Assistant position at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital is a part-time, PRN role that involves performing non-technical duties in the Department of Radiology. Requirements

• High School Graduate.
• 6 months to 1 year of experience in a related field.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Knowledge of computers.
• Current CPR certification.

• Prior experience with various age groups of patients.

Responsibilities

• Assists in answering phones, scheduling patients, and managing necessary paperwork.
• Pages physicians as needed.
• Performs required RIS/PACS computer functions.
• Handles all functions of the Film Library, including processing stat readings and downloading and burning CDs.
• Prepares necessary supplies prior to exams and cleans and stocks exam rooms.
• Assists patients onto exam tables and coordinates special needs for patients.
• Maintains a positive guest relations attitude and displays proper telephone etiquette.
• Ensures a secure and safe patient and work environment by adhering to safety protocols.
• Participates in assessment of own learning needs and seeks opportunities for professional growth.
