This is a highly responsible position that requires excellent organizational, project and time management skills to write, produce, and direct audio and video programs in the areas of public affairs, information, education and promotion. The incumbent must: be a creative storyteller and work within a team environment to deliver high-quality scripts for audio-video productions; be able to ascertain the scope and complexity of a project and understand the full production process, including scheduling video shoots, conducting interviews and transcribing narration; be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-oriented environment; be able to work with internal and external clients who may be inexperienced in audio-video production to help focus their messages within a workable audio-video format; represent the department with extreme professionalism and a strong sense of customer service; be proactive and detail-oriented; possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; possess strong personal computing skills; be able to respond quickly to changing priorities; and travel statewide on short notice as needed.
