About The Position

Enterprise Solutions and Management (ESM) is a rapidly growing government contractor that provides strategic IT services that meet mission needs for Defense and Federal customers. We are hiring a Radio Technician for an exciting opportunity. Job Description and Responsibilities DLA J6 Enterprise has the responsibility to support all the DLA J6 Enterprise Service Areas located in Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside Continental United States (OCONUS), as well as some non-DLA customers. The services encompass the DLA-owned Motorola Enterprise Land Mobile Radio System(ELMR). The candidate will be required to manage the DLA ASTRO25 Radio System Maintenance and Operational requirements. Samples of the services required include the following: manage infrastructure emergency repair efforts and escalation procedures review all Motorola software, hardware, and firmware upgrade announcements and programming templates for their applicability to the DLA ELMR system provide network monitoring services for all DLA ELMR infrastructure components The position requires excellent customer service skills and technical ability. Experience operating in a Government or Military culture is preferred. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA) Embedded with the Systems Manager, and in support of DLA's Land Mobile Radio system, the Radio Technician will have direct access to the following Motorola resources that will ensure the highest level of operational uptime, faster resolution to maintenance and troubleshooting problems and public-safety grade performance for DLA First Responder Safety: Motorola System Support Center (SSC) Motorola Product Engineering Staff and Support Personnel in particular R&D Staff Motorola Infrastructure and Subscriber Depot Level Support Staff Motorola Systems Integration and Program Management Personnel Motorola Systems Technologist Organization and Support Staff Access to fully functional Motorola Astro25 M3-Core test systems for troubleshooting Access to the latest Motorola Software and Software tools Support requirements on a 40 hour per week schedule. Must be available on a call-back basis as needed after duty hours, estimated 40-80 hours annually. OCONUS Travel may be required.

Requirements

  • Five (5) years of progressive Information Technology (IT) experience including at least two Enterprise-wide projects in Land Mobile Radios (LMR). At least one project must have occurred within the past two (2) years.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Telecommunications/LMR maintenance field with specific experience in field support of the following:
  • ASTRO 25 technology
  • AES
  • OTAR
  • OTAP
  • Dispatch console systems
  • ASTRO 25 subscriber radios
  • System fleet-mapping
  • Code-plug development
  • Computer skills in all applicable databases and products
  • Secret Clearance
