The Security Engineering Program (SEP) under Homeland and Force Protection at Leidos currently has an opening within the Professional Services Support (PSS) Program for a Radio Communications Technician. The candidate is responsible for providing remote and on-site service, repair, and installation support for existing hardware, software, communication network configurations, and new system initiatives across all locations within their area of responsibility. Requires expert knowledge of and ability to apply advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts. This position will be based out of either Atlanta, GA or San Antionio TX. Primary Responsibilities This candidate will diagnose mechanical or technical deviations from performance specifications using established procedures and prepare reports to analyze failure trends and serviceability issues. Duties will include managing, handling, and disposition/administration of Communications Security (COMSEC) material. Their responsibilities may include providing on-site support services and assisting in the development and implementation of area-wide procedural/policy changes. The candidate will be responsible for entire projects or processes within their professional area and typically be accountable for coaching and reviewing the work of their peers. They will develop technical solutions to complex technical problems that require collaboration with internal experts and perform deep analyses of the impact on the product/solution. This position is expected to be around 25% travel, with an initial peak of around 40% travel.
