The Radio Frequency Communication Technician will be assisting with the installation, calibration, and troubleshooting of various Radio Frequency systems to include, but not limited to, RF emergency call boxes, RF mass notification systems, and distributed antenna systems (DAS). The ideal candidate should be familiar with RF concepts with relevant experience in two-way radio communications, cellular DAS, and public safety DAS. Trade or technical education and/or related military experience desired.

  • Implement solutions to enhance signal quality and coverage.
  • Analyze RF signals within a given environment for strength, weakness, and direction.
  • Test and measure RF systems using specialized equipment to analyze signal strength, interference, and other relevant parameters.
  • Develop and implement test plans for RF systems to meet specified performance criteria.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain wireless detection equipment to ensure ongoing functionality.
  • Keep accurate records of system configurations, test results, and maintenance activities.
  • Create documentation and reports to communicate findings and recommendations.
  • Installation and repairs of public safety DAS and cellular DAS.
  • Installation and termination of communications cable, fiber optic cables and low voltage cables.
  • Knowledge and experience with various types of RF Systems.
  • Knowledge and experience with implementing solutions to enhance signal quality and coverage.
  • Ability to analyze RF signals within a given environment.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and independently.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient with using various tools such as drills, saws, basic hand tools, etc.
  • Must pass criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen to retain and maintain licenses that are required by the State of North Carolina.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and driving record that meets company requirements.
  • Trade or technical education and/or related military experience.
  • Pay: $17-$20 per hour
