Peraton is seeking a Radio Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The ideal candidate will lead the technical oversight of radio communication systems, including migration to Radio-over-IP (RoIP), ensuring interoperability, resiliency, and quality of service across FAA operational environments. This position offers an opportunity to modernize critical communication networks that support the safety and efficiency of the national airspace system. In this position, you will: Lead the integration, and oversight of FAA radio communication systems and RoIP migrations. Develop technical specifications, network diagrams, and configuration standards for radio systems. Ensure interoperability and compatibility with existing FAA and partner agency communication networks. Monitor and validate quality of service (QoS), resiliency, and system performance under operational conditions. Provide technical guidance to subcontractors and engineering teams, ensuring adherence to FAA standards. Collaborate with infrastructure, cybersecurity, and operations teams to integrate RoIP solutions seamlessly. Conduct site assessments, testing, and troubleshooting to resolve radio network issues. Maintain documentation and training materials for operational teams and stakeholders.
