About The Position
The Radio, Cellular, and Tower Equipment Installer and Repairer role involves the assembly and fabrication of electrical, electronic, or mechanical components or equipment. The position may require operating mechanical machinery, calibration equipment, power tools, and electronic tooling. The individual will apply technical expertise and industry knowledge to various programs or projects and may assist in developing solutions to complex problems. The role requires working with minimal supervision within established procedures and practices and may involve serving as an informal lead or mentor to junior team members. Responsibilities include repairing, installing, or maintaining mobile or stationary radio transmitting, broadcasting, and receiving equipment, as well as two-way radio communications systems used in cellular telecommunications, mobile broadband, ship-to-shore, and aircraft-to-ground communications. The installer may also test and analyze network coverage.
