About The Position

Toledo Clinic's Dermatology Practice located in Lamberville Michigan is seeking a full-time Radiation Therapy Tech to administer Electronic Brachytherapy for Skin. We are offering a $15,000 sign on bonus (with a 2 year commitment). This position is M-F, no weekends or holidays, and offers employee benefits. M-TH (8-4) and F (8-2).

Requirements

• Current license to practice radiation therapy.
• Certified through the ARRT.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot technical machinery.
• Ability to help adjust, lift, shift patients as needed.
• Ability to follow directions and act independently.
• Excellent interpersonal skills required.
• Able to adapt to different working environments.
• Consistently arrives at work, in professional attire, on time and completes all tasks within established time frame.
• Seeks appropriate tasks when primary tasks are completed and assists co-workers as needed.
• Demonstrates adaptability to expanded roles.
• Adheres to Toledo Clinic policies and procedures.
• CPR certification required.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience working in an outpatient setting as a Radiation Therapy Tech.

Responsibilities

• Utilize specialized equipment (XOFT) to administer Electronic Brachytherapy for Skin.
• Verify the dose and properly prepare each patient before treatment.
• Understand and operate imaging and treatment equipment (SRT-Vision).
• Use computers to calculate proper type and dosage of radiation.
• Collect and manage relevant patient information.
• Help ensure proper positioning of patients for treatment using masks, braces, and other equipment.
• Explain procedures to the patient.
• Ensure safety protocols are followed.
• Administer radiation treatments.
• Monitor patient’s emotional and physical tolerance of treatment.
• Document results and update patient record.
• Other duties as assigned.
