About The Position

This employee will oversee the daily operations of the Radiation Therapy Department and act as a liaison between staff, physicians, building occupants, and public. The supervisor is also expected to participate in patient care a minimum of 50 % of the time. A member of the health care team who prepares cancer patients for radiation treatment and administers radiation.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Radiation Therapy or related field.
  • A minimum four (4) years of radiation therapy experience.
  • Degree from an approved Radiation Therapy School.
  • IEMA licensure.
  • ARRT registered or eligible in radiation therapy technology.
  • Certified by the American Heart Association in Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
  • Knowledge or training for the professional or technical group supervised.
  • DCFS Mandated Reporter Certificate of Completion required.
  • Evidence of good health, grooming and professional conduct.
  • Desire and ability to cooperate with and/or under the direction of others.
  • Possesses a sense of responsibility, initiative and honesty.
  • Ability to follow directions accurately.
  • Has the ability to work very closely with all employees, patients, nurses, physicians and other hospital employees.
