About The Position

Southern Cancer Center is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Radiation Therapist to join our team in Foley, AL. Under direct supervision, the Radiation Therapist is responsible for administering radiation treatments to patients with the highest level of accuracy and care. This role requires precise alignment of radiation beams to the targeted tumor volume and accurate delivery of prescribed doses. The ideal candidate will uphold the standards of the US Oncology Compliance Program, including adherence to the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy Technology program.
• ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy required.
• Valid state license to practice radiation therapy.
• 0-3 years of experience as a practicing Radiation Therapist (entry-level candidates welcome).

Responsibilities

• Deliver and document radiation therapy treatments as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist and under the guidance of the Chief Radiation Therapist.
• Input and maintain accurate treatment parameters in the electronic medical record system.
• Assist in training new therapists and students as needed.
• Support scheduling and ensure accurate billing information is submitted.
• Fabricate custom molds and cut blocks when applicable.
• Perform basic monitor unit (MU) calculations.
• Interpret computerized treatment plans with precision.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized treatment environment.
