Job Summary: Location: Methodist Hospital Address: 8303 Dodge Street, Omaha, NE Work Schedule: This is a casual position. Casual employees work on an 'as needed' basis to meet the needs of the business. Work days & hours will often vary from week to week. To administer, monitor, and document the prescribed course of treatment from the Radiation Oncologist.

Requirements

  • Requires knowledge in Radiation Therapy principles and practices at a level normally acquired through the completion of an approved Bachelor's of Science Radiation Therapy Certification program.
  • Satisfactory completion of annual mandatory education requirements.
  • Approximately 6-12 months of on the job experience preferable to gain knowledge of departmental policies and procedures.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registered in Radiography (R) or board eligible required.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registered in Radiation Therapy (T) or board eligible required.
  • Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) strongly preferred at time of hire, required within 3 months of hire.
  • Strong interpersonal skills necessary to effectively communicate, and interact with patients, family members, hospital personnel, and co-workers.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Administers prescribed radiation therapy treatments in an efficient and courteous manner.
  • Assures quality delivery of care to the customer.
  • Communicates effectively with customer, clinical staff, and others.
  • Maximizes efficiency of workflow daily to accommodate the needs of the clinic.
  • Facilitates teamwork with co-workers.
  • Practices professional judgment behaviors in an orderly, and rational manner.
  • Demonstrates ability to effectively communicate, respect, and cooperate with lead therapist.
  • Adheres to departmental policies, and procedures.
