Onboarding Process: Please be advised that candidates must successfully complete a background check and pre-employment health screening which includes a drug screen. Position Summary: To perform the duties of a staff radiation therapist in the treatment units and the CT simulator units. To ensure the safe delivery of radiation treatment to patients as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist. Assist in teaching of the radiation therapy student in the field of radiation oncology technology.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited radiation therapy technology program.
  • ARRT (T), BLS, state license
  • Tenet complies with federal, state, and/or local laws regarding mandatory vaccination of its workforce. If you are offered this position and must be vaccinated under any applicable law, you will be required to show proof of full vaccination or obtain an approval of a religious or medical exemption prior to your start date. If you receive an exemption from the vaccination requirement, you will be required to submit to regular testing in accordance with the law.

  • 3 years experience as a Radiation Therapist in a clinical setting

Responsibilities

  • Safe delivery of daily radiation treatment to patient as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist.
  • Observe for changes in patients and report these changes immediately to the Radiation Oncologist.
  • Verify patient’s set up by taking initial and weekly portal films.
  • Maintain proper appointment schedule for treatment patients.
  • Keep an accurate treatment record, according to the policy and procedure of the University and department.
  • Record correct billing record for each patient, according to the AMA CPT-4 guidelines and department policy and procedure.
