About The Position

Baptist Health outpatient oncology, where compassionate care meets advanced treatment. Our cancer center offers medical oncology, infusion therapy, radiation oncology, and genetic counseling. We also provide nutritional counseling, palliative care, psychological support, and access to support services. Description: Must be able to be on call, including weekends and holidays, and flexible to work above standard hours to meet staffing needs. Utilizes ionizing-radiation producing equipment to administer therapeutic doses of radiation as prescribed by the physician for each patient undergoing a prescribed course of radiotherapy Maintains treatment equipment and records, monitoring treatment area, and other duties as needed Accurately delivers a planned course of radiotherapy by administering treatment in a safe manner Demonstrates how to use Linacs and CT simulator and perform patient treatments Provides patient education, scheduling and excellent customer relations Correctly documents and captures charges for procedures

Requirements

  • Associate degree
  • New graduates will be acceptable for initial hire with the understanding that the individual must pass boards within 3 months of hire
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology in Radiation Therapy
  • State Radiation Operator Certification
  • Basic Life Support
  • Must be able to be on call, including weekends and holidays, and flexible to work above standard hours to meet staffing needs.

Responsibilities

  • Utilizes ionizing-radiation producing equipment to administer therapeutic doses of radiation as prescribed by the physician for each patient undergoing a prescribed course of radiotherapy
  • Maintains treatment equipment and records, monitoring treatment area, and other duties as needed
  • Accurately delivers a planned course of radiotherapy by administering treatment in a safe manner
  • Demonstrates how to use Linacs and CT simulator and perform patient treatments
  • Provides patient education, scheduling and excellent customer relations
  • Correctly documents and captures charges for procedures
