About The Position

The Radiation Therapist is responsible for delivering radiation therapy to patients diagnosed with cancer and other medical conditions. Working under the general supervision of the Radiation Oncology Medical Director and the Cancer Services Operations Manager, the Radiation Therapist performs a range of specialized technical procedures to ensure accurate tumor localization and the precise application of therapeutic doses of ionizing radiation for the treatment of disease or injury.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an approved school of Radiation Therapy.
  • Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (A.R.R.T.) in Radiation Therapy (T). 25 years of experience as a Radiation therapist may be considered in lieu of A.R.R.T (T).
  • State licensure in the state in which they work as a Radiation Therapist.
  • CPR certification is required.
