About The Position

Ackerman Cancer Center, the pioneering leader in cancer treatment, is seeking a dedicated and skilled part-time Radiation Therapist to join our team. With the distinction of being the only physician-owned proton center in the world , we are committed to providing innovative and patient-centric care. A Radiation Therapists are responsible for administering radiation therapy to patients as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologists and Medical Physicists.

Requirements

• Completion of Radiation Oncology Therapy training
• Current FL Radiation Therapist License
• Basic Life Support

• Bachelor's Degree
• Knowledge of Elekta equipment
• Dosimetry, CT/Simulations, and/or medical office clinical experience
• Pleasant manner

Responsibilities

• Works with cancer patients delivering highly precise and closely monitored doses of radiation.
• Responsibilities include machine warms- ups, equipment and patient set-ups, delivering daily treatments, assisting with the simulation process, and delivering the highest standards of care to our patients.
• Operating multiple units of highly technical equipment for patient setups, treatment planning, and actual daily treatments.
• Making independent judgement, compassionate, caring, and good communication skills.
