Requirements

• Graduate of a Committee of Allied Health Education and Accreditation-accredited education program or Radiologic Technology/Radiation Therapy Program.
• 1+ years of experience as a radiation therapist with comprehensive clinical knowledge to include treatment delivery and simulation.
• Active and current ARRT certification in Radiological Therapy.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Skillful in leadership, judgement, creativity, and significant knowledge of the field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of Aria and EPIC, particularly scheduling, charge capture, treatment delivery, historical treatment record interpretation, and clinical data.

Responsibilities

• The Radiation Therapist administers ionizing radiation (radiation therapy treatments) to patients as specifically prescribed by a physician in a detailed treatment plan according to established standards and practices.
