The primary purpose of your job as a Radiation Therapist in the Medical Imaging Department is to perform assigned duties in an effective manner, in accordance with established policies and procedures, and as directed by your supervisor to assure that a successful viable department is maintained at all times. Working under the direction of the Director of Medical Imaging. Will be given general guidelines and direction but is expected to function with initiative and creativity with the objective of department efficiency and technical excellence. Must demonstrate the ability to rely on experience to initiate proper judgment, manage multiple tasks, and engage as a Department leader within a limited supervised environment. Expected to develop specifications for changes and project plans for improvement in department workflow. Must be able to work effectively with a diverse group of people. Directs Radiation Therapists, students and ancillary personal. Must care for a patient population which includes adolescents and geriatrics; therefore, must be able to identify the special needs of each patient according to age and respond appropriately. Performs other job related duties as assigned.
