About The Position

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled and compassionate Radiation Therapist to join a dynamic oncology team in Gastonia, NC. In this role, you will administer prescribed radiation treatments to patients undergoing cancer care while ensuring safety, accuracy, and emotional support throughout the treatment process. This is a 13-week contract opportunity with a consistent daytime schedule.

Requirements

• Prior experience as a Radiation Therapist in an oncology setting.
• Strong knowledge of radiation safety standards and cancer treatment protocols.
• Ability to provide compassionate patient-centered care.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Certification in Radiation Therapy (ARRT or equivalent).
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.

Responsibilities

• Administer radiation therapy treatments in accordance with physician prescriptions and established protocols.
• Position patients accurately and operate radiation therapy equipment safely and effectively.
• Monitor patients for side effects or adverse reactions and report findings appropriately.
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of treatments and patient responses.
• Prepare and maintain treatment rooms, equipment, and supplies in compliance with safety standards.
• Educate patients and families on treatment procedures, potential side effects, and safety precautions.
• Collaborate closely with radiation oncologists, medical physicists, dosimetrists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
