About The Position

Atlas Advisors, LLC is seeking a qualified Radiation Therapist to provide on-site clinical services in support of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Pittsburgh Healthcare System. The selected candidate will support radiation oncology operations by delivering therapeutic radiation treatments, performing simulation procedures, and ensuring compliance with all applicable clinical and safety standards. This position is part of a federal contract supporting veteran healthcare services and requires strict adherence to VA policies, clinical guidelines, and credentialing requirements. This position is contingent upon contract award

Requirements

  • Current certification by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) in Radiation Therapy
  • Active, unrestricted state license (Pennsylvania or ability to obtain prior to start)
  • Minimum of 1–2 years of experience as a Radiation Therapist
  • Experience with CT simulation and radiation treatment delivery
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
  • Must be eligible for VA credentialing and privileging

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience working in a VA or federal healthcare setting
  • Familiarity with ARIA, CPRS, or VISTA systems
  • Experience in oncology or hospital-based radiation therapy environments

Responsibilities

  • Deliver prescribed radiation therapy treatments in accordance with physician directives
  • Perform CT simulation and treatment planning procedures
  • Operate radiation therapy equipment, including treatment machines and imaging systems
  • Conduct daily quality assurance checks on equipment and report discrepancies
  • Ensure accurate patient positioning and verification prior to treatment
  • Maintain and update patient records in VA electronic medical systems (e.g., ARIA, CPRS)
  • Follow all radiation safety protocols and infection control standards
  • Coordinate with physicians, physicists, and clinical staff to support patient care
  • Maintain compliance with VA policies, HIPAA regulations, and clinical guidelines
  • Support scheduling and accommodate urgent or emergent patient needs
