About The Position

We are committed to delivering exceptional care and innovative treatment solutions in a supportive and collaborative environment. As a Radiation Therapist, you will play a key role in delivering compassionate and precise care to our patients. In this role you will get to: Perform a variety of technical procedures involving the use of high-energy radiation producing equipment. Responsible for administering, simulating and recording radiation treatments to patients of all ages as prescribed by a Radiation Oncologist while maintaining confidentiality. Provides daily patient contact for monitoring the effects of radiation.

Requirements

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiation Therapy or a related field.
  • Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiation Therapy.
  • State licensure as required.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
  • Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

  • Patient Preparation: Greet and prepare patients for radiation therapy sessions.
  • Explain treatment procedures to patients and address any concerns or questions.
  • Position patients accurately according to treatment plans.
  • Treatment Administration: Operate radiation therapy equipment safely and effectively.
  • Deliver prescribed doses of radiation to the targeted area, ensuring precision and accuracy.
  • Monitor patients during treatment for any adverse reactions and provide appropriate care.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with other radiation oncology professionals to develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Maintain clear and accurate records of treatment sessions and patient progress.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing support and education as needed.
  • Equipment Performance Checks: Perform regular quality assurance checks on radiation therapy equipment.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Compliance and Safety: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulatory standards to ensure a safe treatment environment.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in radiation therapy techniques and technologies.
