About The Position

The Radiation Therapist will work closely with oncologists and other physicians to establish a comprehensive treatment plan for patients undergoing radiation therapy. This role involves discussing the treatment plan with each patient, ensuring they understand the radiation treatment process, and providing guidance on how to manage their treatment effectively. The therapist will determine the correct radiation dosage and location for treatment, ensuring the safe delivery of radiotherapy. Additionally, the therapist is responsible for the regular maintenance of medical equipment, accurate and timely documentation of each treatment in the medical record, and participation in performance improvement activities.

Requirements

• Successful completion of accredited radiation therapy program
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists registry or registry eligibility
• Previous experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Work with oncologists and other physicians to establish treatment plan

• Determine correct radiation dosage and location to treat
• Safely provide the correct radiotherapy treatment
• Ensure that the medical equipment is regularly maintained

• Participate in PI activities
