The Senior Therapist provides management support by way of leadership in assigned work area. Under general supervision of the Chief Therapist and/or Director of Clinical Physics and in accordance with department policy and procedure, this position performs and organizes radiation therapy related patient services and assists department in meeting goals and objectives. The Senior Therapist has strong interpersonal, supervisory, organizational, and communication skills and demonstrates independent action, judgment, and decision-making skills. They display attributes in compassions, concern, and courtesy for the oncology patient. Education / Training: · At minimum, requires a level of knowledge normally acquired through the completion of an associate or bachelor’s degree. B. Work Experience: · Requires at least 2 years of Radiation Therapy experience · Requires demonstrated knowledge of radiation therapy procedures, treatment plans and delivery, radiation oncology, and radiation protection. C. Certification, Licensure, Registration: · Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) for Radiation Therapy · BLS CPR certification required
