About The Position
LewisGale Medical Center is seeking a Radiation Therapist PRN to join our team. This role involves administering radiation therapy to patients as per physician orders and under the guidance of a qualified physician. The position requires the use of medical devices such as Linear Accelerators, CT scanners, and the Mosaiq RV system. The therapist will be responsible for verifying and documenting prescribed treatment doses, performing timeout procedures, ensuring accurate placement of treatment devices, and maintaining constant contact with patients during treatment. Additionally, the therapist will chart treatment details, provide necessary imaging, and perform device fabrication as needed. The role also includes patient and family education and operating the Mosaiq system accurately.
