About The Position

The position involves performing radiation therapy and radiographic procedures that utilize X-rays and radioactive substances on patients. The individual will operate specialized X-ray equipment as directed by a physician, ensuring that all procedures are conducted safely and effectively. Additionally, the role includes maintaining treatment records, preparing operational reports, and managing the storage and ordering of necessary supplies and equipment.

Requirements

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong clinical judgment
• Knowledge of Radiation Therapy Theory and Practice
• Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiation Therapy / Radiography
• Certification in Radiation Therapy Technology in the State of Louisiana

Responsibilities

• Provides quality patient care in relation to the patient's prescribed diagnosis, treatment, age group, development and other identified needs
• Responsible for the performance of all duties relating to the administration of a prescribed course of Radiation Therapy
