About The Position

The position of Radiation Therapist at Edward and Elmhurst Hospital involves simulating treatment set-ups, performing dosimetric calculations, and accurately delivering ionizing radiation as prescribed by the radiation oncologist. The role requires working under the general supervision of the System Manager, Radiation Oncology, and assisting in patient care and management while adhering to clinical, technical, and operational policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy program.
• Must be a candidate for ARRT (R) certification and complete the certification exam within one year of start date.
• Current CPR Certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• IEMA (Illinois Emergency Management Agency) licensure.
• Previous experience with Varian equipment and ARIA EMR is preferred.
