Join the MercyOne Family! We are looking to hire a Cancer Center - Radiation Therapist Intern! As a Cancer Center - Radiation Therapist Intern at MercyOne, you will: Provide assistance to the Radiation Therapist with normal daily treatment and simulation procedures Obtain the knowledge and expertise to perform and be responsible for simulation, initial treatment set-up, daily radiation treatments, documentation, and quality assurance Adhere to MercyOne’s performance expectations and performs all defined services and other related duties in accordance with the mission, vision and values of MercyOne

Requirements

  • Current ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology or registry eligible with certification within 6 months of hire
  • Current State of Iowa Permit to Practice in Radiologic Technology or eligible with permit within 6 months of hire
  • Enrolled in or accepted into an accredited Radiation Therapy training program
  • 2 years of experience in Radiologic Technology preferred - will consider a new graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
  • Basic Life Support
  • Mandatory Reporter Training

Responsibilities

  • Provide assistance to the Radiation Therapist with normal daily treatment and simulation procedures
  • Obtain the knowledge and expertise to perform and be responsible for simulation, initial treatment set-up, daily radiation treatments, documentation, and quality assurance
  • Adhere to MercyOne’s performance expectations and performs all defined services and other related duties in accordance with the mission, vision and values of MercyOne
