Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy Program – Required
  • ARRT (RT)(T) certification, current and in good standing – Required
  • California Radiologic Health Branch (RHB) RHTT or RHA Certificate – Required
  • BLS certification – Required
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a practicing Radiation Therapist - Required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Varian Linear Accelerators and special treatment procedures such as SRS, SBRT, and Brachytherapy
  • Familiarity with ARIA and Eclipse
  • Familiarity with ACR accreditation standards and regulatory compliance requirements
  • Flexibility and willingness to support department growth through technological advancements, evolving workflows, and process improvement initiatives

Responsibilities

  • Deliver daily external beam Radiation Therapy treatments accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with the Radiation Oncologist’s prescription
  • Accurately enter, verify, and maintain patient treatment parameters in the EMR
  • Maintain daily treatment records, following established protocols and proactively reviewing patient charts
  • Perform treatment setup, patient positioning, and verification using appropriate immobilization devices and imaging techniques
  • Accurately interpret computerized treatment plans
  • Ensure safe operation of equipment and adhere to established radiation safety protocols and ALARA principles
  • Participate in quality control activities and the department’s Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives
  • Support collaborative workflows with physicians, physicists, dosimetrists, and clinical staff
