Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Radiation Therapy Technology or graduate of a CAHEA accredited school to Radiation Therapy or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Current registration or registry eligible with the ARRT. Must successfully complete registry examination in Radiation Therapy within one year of date of hire.
• Operates all linear accelerators and simulators with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Documents treatment procedures in patient’s charts and verifies accuracy.
• Operate and maintain linear accelerators and related imaging systems
• Conduct chart checks and maintain accurate documentation in ARIA
• Performs quality assurance checks daily on equipment.
• Performs calculations when required.
• Operates and maintains competency on CT simulator
• Demonstrates competency on special procedures which may include Stereotactic Surgery
