The Radiation Protection Monitor (RPM) will provide radiation protection support for the radiation safety function at Global Nuclear Fuel – Americas (GNF-A), a commercial nuclear fuel manufacturing facility in Wilmington, NC. In this position, you will inspect and monitor nuclear fuel manufacturing operations involving radioactive and fissile materials. RPM's play a key role in assuring compliance with applicable licenses and regulations, including proper maintenance of radiation protection dose rate and contamination surveys, and radiation protection audit records. RPMs take appropriate actions and make recommendations to ensure the health and safety of employees, the public, and the environment. The schedule has not yet been determined for this position. It could be on either 1st shift or a rotational 4th shift dependent on business need. To be considered for this position, candidates must be willing to work either as needed. This position starts at $49/hour and after 6 months of satisfactory performance, will increase to $49.66/hour. This position is eligible for an additional hourly premium of $2/hour for performing work inside our Airborne Controlled Access area. While working off-shift hours, you will also be eligible for a $1/hour premium. In January 2026, the initial starting rate will increase to $50/hour.
