About The Position

The UTRGV SOM is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible physician in Radiation Oncology to provide both clinical (non-teaching) and academic radiation services. Clinical responsibilities will include outpatient radiation services and may include in-patient consultation. Academic responsibilities may include teaching residents/medical students in the outpatient clinical setting and in the classroom. Participation in scholarly activity, faculty development, patient safety and quality improvement initiatives, and other administrative and program committees are expected. Also, preparation and presentation of program didactics, grand rounds, and assisting with undergraduate medical education will be assigned at the Chair's discretion. The successful candidate will develop a robust clinical/translational research program that advances the therapeutic paradigm. Academic rank will be awarded commensurate with academic experience and credentials.
