About The Position
JOB OVERVIEW • Job Title: Radiation Oncology • Job Type: Locum Tenens • Location: DuBois, PA • Service Setting: Hospital • Coverage Type: Clinical + Call • Coverage Period: July 27, 2026 – 4 weeks • Clinical Shift Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM • On-Call Shift Schedule: Night call (4:00 PM – 7:30 AM) and 24-hour weekend call • Call Type: Inpatient + Phone COVERAGE DATES • 4-week vacation coverage beginning July 27, 2026 PATIENT INFORMATION • Patient Demographics: Adults • Patient Volume/Census: Approximately 25 patients on treatment, 1–2 consults/day, ~5 follow-ups/day • Phone Consults: Included • Case Mix: External beam radiation therapy including 3D, IMRT, SBRT, SRS, IGRT; CT simulation and treatment planning FACILITY INFORMATION • No. of Beds in Department: 228 Hospital Beds • Trauma Level: II–IV (Adult) • EMR System: MOSAIQ • Office Equipment Available: Varian Eclipse treatment planning system; radiation oncology suite • Support Staff Available: Nurses, MAs, and APP support for consults and follow-ups • Reason for Coverage: Vacation Coverage PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE • Hospital Privileges Required: Yes • Temporary Privileges Available: Yes (as needed) • Credentialing Timeline: Approximately 60–90 days COMPENSATION & BENEFITS • Rate: TBD • Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Flight, rental car/gas, and lodging covered REQUIRED PROCEDURES • External beam radiation therapy (3D conformal, IMRT, SBRT, SRS, IGRT) • CT simulation • Radiation treatment planning JOB REQUIREMENTS • Licenses: PA license required or willingness to obtain (IMLC accepted) • Board: Board Certified or Board Eligible (within 5 years) • DEA: Required • Certifications: BLS, ACLS • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience • Other Qualifications: Experience with Varian Eclipse system and advanced radiation modalities DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide radiation oncology treatment and patient management • Conduct consults and oversee treatment planning • Manage follow-up visits and coordinate with APP support • Participate in night and weekend call coverage • Collaborate with oncology care team • Maintain accurate documentation in MOSAIQ EMR
Requirements
- PA license required or willingness to obtain (IMLC accepted)
- Board Certified or Board Eligible (within 5 years)
- DEA: Required
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS
- Minimum 2 years of experience
- Experience with Varian Eclipse system and advanced radiation modalities
