About The Position

The Radiation Med Therapist in the Radiation Oncology department is responsible for delivering accurate dosages of radiation using up-to-date equipment. This role involves documenting the dosages administered to fulfill the physician's prescription and ensuring quality patient care. The position is part-time and per diem, reporting to the Chief Radiation Medicine Technologist.

Requirements

• Completion of an Associate's Degree or equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Current license from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
• Knowledge of department policies and procedures.
• Familiarity with equipment and proper set-up of equipment.
• Three to six months of on-the-job training.

• Ability to calculate length of treatment.
• Skills to detect adverse reactions to treatments.
• Interpersonal skills sufficient to work with others and deal effectively with patients.
