About The Position
Acara Solution is seeking a Radiation Effects Engineer for our client, located in Scottsdale, AZ . A successful candidate will lead technical efforts to ensure our space systems meet performance objectives in intense radiation environments. This includes effects due to both natural space and nuclear radiation environments. Ensure mission success through proactive technical engagement and innovation. Drive technology, capabilities, and their integration into roadmaps and products. Validate and establish new engineering processes for radiation effects. Mentor junior engineers and team members. Commitment to ongoing professional development for yourself and others.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Science or Engineering or Mathematics with 15 years of experience
- Minimum 15 years of experience with integrating commercial technology into high-reliability, high-availability space systems.
Nice To Haves
- Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Materials Science or Physics with 13 years of experience
- Deep subject matter expertise in natural space radiation environments, including modelling and analysis techniques
- Expertise in radiation effects mitigation at the component and system level
- Creative, innovative, and a desire to drive change
